An endangered Siberian tiger cub born!
Our tigress, Samba, has become a mother for the first time. You can observe her tending to her cub, male, on the TV screen located next to the tiger exhibit.
The baby tiger is in an excellent shape, healthy and vigorous. The five-years-old Samba, born in our zoo, gave birth at the beginning of May. Thanks to the cameras located in the delivery box, breeders could observe him from the very first moments. The proud father is the thirteen-years-old Youryi, acquired in 2022 from a french zoo, La Palmyre.
For now, the cub spends all its time with its mother in the breeding facility. In the morning, Samba visits the outdoor enclosure, but the baby tiger stays in the indoor quarters.
Nevertheless, you can see him - we have installed a screen near the Siberian tiger exhibition, where we stream live footage from the inner quarters, thus you can watch the happy tiger family every day, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If everything goes according to expectations, Samba and the cub will go on their first walk to the outdoor enclosure by the end of July. Don‘t miss it!
