Since 2017, Zlín Zoo has been helping to rescue critically endangered white-bellied heron. It is on the edge of extinction, it is said there are only 60 individuals observed in Bhutan, India, China, and Myanmar.
Thanks to collection 4Nature, Zlín Zoo donated 260 000 crowns (1 000 euros) to rescue of the second biggest heron in the world this year. The money helped to equip a breeding and rescue centre in Bhutan where almost half of the population of white-bellied heron lives.
