The New rescue and breeding center for lions
Come and see the first rescue and breeding center for lions in the Czech Republic.
The first rescue and breeding center for lions in the Czech Republic opened on Saturday, September 6. You can see our pride of lions every day in their half-hectare enclosure. They’ve especially taken a liking to the hill, which gives them a wide view of the surroundings, including the vast grassy enclosure of the African elephants. For you, our visitors, we have prepared two viewing platforms. The first offers a close-up encounter with these majestic big cats, while the second provides a beautiful view of the African elephants’ habitat. You’ll also find a walkway made of sponsor bricks and the new Mopani Bar with drinks and light refreshments.
The Lion Center was created as part of our unique Karibuni project, which has no equivalent in Czech zoos. Alongside the Lion Center, we also opened a new visitor route, giving access to the entire first phase of Karibuni, which belongs to the African elephants.
