The most valuable trees can be seen on the slopes, right under the Tyrol restaurant. Local forest giants belong among the oldest in the plant family. They already came into being and grew some 200 million years ago, at the beginning of the Mesozoic Era, when the earth was populated by the most successful reptile species of all times – the Dinosaurs. Some plants of this age have survived unchanged all the way to the present time.
 

The most valuable trees are western red cedar, japanese umbrella pine, dawn redwood, japanese cedar, white cedar, maidenhair tree and katsura tree. The botanical treasures also include yellow poplar, common catalpa, honey locust, princess tree či bald cypress.
